Firefox eats up the whole processor time. After the crash Firefox remains as a zombie process in memory but without any open window. Even the crash reporter doesn't show up. I'm unable to reproduce this on openSUSE Leap 42.2 or newer. As openSUSE 13.2 is no longer supported and there hasn't been any response for more than a year, this issue will be closed. If you can reproduce this issue using a supported version of openSUSE, please reopen this bug and move it to the appropriate product.
