Not easy to solve with current plugin architecture but basically caused by Flash.
I agreed it is, might, caused by flash because after adding the plugin will cause the problem, but there are something else to it. After googling, there was a tip about fixing the keyboard locked up by changing the default network.dns.disableipv6=flase to 'true' within firefox. Well, that only works for 32bit ff with flash but no luck for 64bit opensuse. In my opensuse 10.2 64bit, the problem can be duplicated if there is a flash plugin, except in one condition. If I started firefox with 'kdesu firefox' there is no keyboard lockup what so ever and everything works as expected, of course with flash. However, if I simply starting ff with sudo or logged as root, the keyboard lockup problem persists. When starting ff with 'kdesu' the only noticeable difference is the color scheme on ff's gui. It seems there are no other cosmetic color will apply to ff's gui. I have uninstalled the package version of the ff and flash and recompiled mozilla, again, the same problem. So I am not sure your claim about this is plugin problem can cover all grounds. Just a quick test, the flash problem don't seem to happen to opera and konqueror. in addition to the above workaround, just switching to other app, not tab within the ff, and switch back will work, that is 'alt+tab' or click to get other app to receive focus. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
