[Bug 1162583] New: go7007 driver fails to handle interrupt
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1162583 Bug ID: 1162583 Summary: go7007 driver fails to handle interrupt Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 15.1 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: josef.moellers@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 828991 --> http://bugzilla.suse.com/attachment.cgi?id=828991&action=edit Supportconfig file When connecting a Plextor ConvertX M402U video converter, a "BOGUS urb xfer" is reported and a Call Trace is dumped. I assume that the go7007 driver has not been fully supported in newer kernel versions as it definitely used to work in 2.x kernels! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Could you check whether the issue is present with the recent kernel (e.g. OBS Kernel:stable repo), too? Or at least Leap 15.2 kernel.
I just installed 15.2 and the bug is still present. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

This might be fixed by a simple patch. I'm building a test kernel in OBS home:tiwai:bsc1162583 repo. Could you give it a try?
Sure, I'd love to see this fixed. I have a few video cassettes (Betamax!!!!!) that I would like to save before the last VCR dies ;-) Can you put the RPM for download somewhere? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
