This can lead to an incorrect assessment thinking the application launch failed. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. see above 2. 3. A clarification ... when an application is already running and BUSY, then I do get the arrow with a rounding circle. But when an application is 1st launched, while waiting for the application for first appear, there is no feedback. I have not put firefox on my desktop, so I do not know if the problem exists there. This is a bit tricky to reproduce, because LXDE is SO FAST that typically its only the first time one runs the app after a fresh boot that it is painful behaviour. Once the application is cached, it comes up pretty quick and this lack of feedback on an application being launched is not as irritating. I think this will be more apparent on older PCs. The PC where I have observed this behaviour is a 32-bit Athlon-1100 with 1GB RAM, and a GeForce FX5200 AGP graphic card. If its an upstream bug, there is not much we can do ... :) ... overall I really like the idea of LXDE on openSUSE-11.3 so I hope my various bug reports are not seen as a criticism.
