At first I thought it was some kind of interference on the wireless mouse but then I noticed the same symptoms on the touch-pad and trackpad. There is no cpu load that might cause this to happen. The symptoms persist for a few minutes then disappear for an unspecified period of time and return again later randomly. Movement of cursor on screen lags mouse movement and cursor movement is not smooth (jumps). Very difficult to precisely position cursor over a button, for example. I have suse 11.4 32 bit, gnome desktop, ati radeon graphics, and microsoft wheel mouse optical mouse. When this occurs, I have found no solution. Does not go away periodically as other have reported. Only a reboot works. Cannot say what instigates the problem. Cannot say how long it takes to reoccur after a reboot. Occurs with no cpu load and only a few processes running. Would like those in the know to find a fix. What information might you need for diagnosis? I did a livecd test a couple of weeks ago.
