After the change to the correct location, I ran the terminal command: sudo /bin/systemctl enable /usr/lib/systemd/system/apcupsd.service And then restarted my PC. After the modification of the apcupsd.service file, apcupsd is working properly. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install apcupsd & apcupsd-gui from yast 2. Edit the apc config file /etc/apcupsd/apcupsd.conf to match your UPS 3. Restart PC to allow service to start 4. Find that it is not working for you.
