These names included '_' in the ssid. Knm4 would only show the name as UNKNOWN and not connect. Going to manage connections, wireless and then search, the partial name would show and you could define the connection and try to connect. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.have a wireless router that uses long ssid names with '_' in the name 2.bring up knm4 3. name will show up as UNKNOWN Actual Results: Unable to connect to network as unknown. My next lines of inquiry would be to see how other clients behave. Can you test with nm-applet? Could you also attach the 'iwlist wlan0 scan' output for these networks with spaces so I can compare how they appear to my (iwl3945) card.
