I have several in my mind: * pam_mount bug #347144 * pam_kwallet bug #67058 Here's the outline of the framework: https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/pam-config-framework Maybe it is in usable state already? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The reason is, that adding some modules require a different configuration of other modules. The result will be some "funny" things like login as root without a password. In openSUSE we have "pam-config". This is the "hardcoded" way of what they want. But here we have the possibility to check, if the configuration is valid and safe. Nobody from the outside can put a file somewhere and break our configuration. For the UI part we are on the way. E.g. we are working on a pam_mount interface for yast. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

This is very good news! I very much appreciate that there is work on this issue since we have decided to adopt pam_mount in our workgroup for its power -- but unfortunately its configuration is a little tricky and tedious. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
