[Bug 782770] New: PowerEdge R820 - Xen Kernel - Network Bridge - bnx2x
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=782770 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=782770#c0 Summary: PowerEdge R820 - Xen Kernel - Network Bridge - bnx2x Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.2 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: brad@bradbothun.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=507680) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=507680) Output of: rpm -qa User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:15.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/15.0.1 Since loading the Xen Kernel and installing the network bridge script I have been getting Kernel messages almost as fast as they can be written to /var/log/messages. Network performance is slow.

More info. The errors only occur when a VM is running. I set the system to not start the VMs at boot. When the system comes up there are no errors in the log. I've moved data back and fourth and it work with no issue. There are also no RX errors on eth0 like the errors from the above ifconfig. As soon as I start a VM the errors start filling up the log. When I stop the VM the errors go away. Everything is working fine with these settings. It looks like the latest bnx2x driver fixes this problem but I'm unable to get it to compile with the xen kernel to test. I hope this helps anyone who is having a similar issue. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
