- Should the virt-v2v process "convert" KVM guests to run on another KVM host? (Shouldn't a simple migrate be used here? Maybe it would be worth it to convert from very different machine types?) I would personally welcome such functionality - I am not aware of any alternatives that would allow easy transfer of vm between hosts with different non-shared storages.
At the risk of receiving more bugs (I haven't tested this functionality), you could try migration with --copy-storage-all option (and perhaps --offine).
