https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=450158 Summary: needless desktop applet knetworkmanager is loaded, but ifup is used. Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: RC 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: psikodad@gmx.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- After a standard installation in Virtualbox (DVD, 32-bit, KDE 3.5), The desktop applet "knetworkmanager" is loaded. However, networkmanager is not running, because "ifup" method is used. Therefore I prefer *not* loading the knetworkmanager if "ifup" method is used. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

A very serious problem - likely to affect about half of KDE all openSUSE 11.1 KDE installations - i.e. everyone installing on workstation/desktop machines. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
