[Bug 283100] New: Invalid DHCP setting leaves user stuck in Hostname/DNS tab
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=283100 Summary: Invalid DHCP setting leaves user stuck in Hostname/DNS tab Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 4 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: raffo@cdi.com QAContact: qa@suse.de My current network configuration is using DHCP to setup DNS. Browsing the network configuration tab for Hostname/DNS, it shows the domain search string handed by the DHCP server. The program deems the string invalid, and does not let me out of the tab. Since this field is not editable, I have to uncheck one of the toggles so I can delete it and let me continue. Since I can't make the DHCP server hand a "valid" value, can I suggest an "Ignore" option to the error message so the user can continue? I'm attaching a snapshot to illustrate the situation. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
