"Error in VPN connection
The connection "test" cannot be started due to an error in the connection.
pppd dies with an unknown error code"
How can I debug this so as to help fixing it?

I converted vpnc, openvpn and novellvpn, pptp one is the last one not done. Unfortunately, I doubt it will be done for opensuse 11.0, unless someone from the community steps up and does the work.

I've review the pptp's plugin in NetworkMananger upstream, now this plugin can't be compiled correctly, and like tambet says, this plugin also need to be refactoring.
Now I'm still refactoring the novellvpn's plugin, so currently no time for this features. And I would trace community for this feature, if there are some updates I would like to update to our distribution.

It's strongly necessary to have pptp plugin for NetwrokManager to make connection available for common users by few click as it was for openSUSE 10.3.
For now I have to invoke pppd script by root every time to establish connection and it's really annoying.

I need pptp at university. Using NM this has been very easy in the past. With NM 0.7 and OS11 it's impossible :( Right now I have to fall back to older distribution with NM 0.6.5 because of this: bad
Hopefully the plugin will be ported soon.
