After this, I can't start anymore ristretto, if freezes all the time, even if it is started without to load an image. It shows only an empty gtk windows. However with Xubuntu ( running in Virtualbox ) this option works, no freeze. I tried to debug, but at the moment all I managed to figure out is that the program freezes in gtk_main(). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Enable the Show thumbnail bar option in View menu 2. 3. Does it freeze on a specific image? I have installed both Xfce, Gnome2 and KDE desktop, I don't think it's because of a missing library. I don't use any buildservice repos beside my own project with subpixel font rendering patches on freetype and cairo, and the Xfce buildservice, to try a newer version of ristretto. My system is 32bit, openSUSE 11.4, NVidia binary driver from the NVidia repo. Maybe that will get us an idea what's happening.
