[Bug 331809] New: Huawei E220 (UMTS modem) doesn't work in 10.3
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=331809 Summary: Huawei E220 (UMTS modem) doesn't work in 10.3 Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: SchwartzkopffD@Alte-Leipziger.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I can't access the internet because my Huawei E220 doesn't work in 10.3 anymore after update (new install) from 10.2. In 10.2 I had to use the follwing commands to get access to this modem: # modprobe -r usb-storage # modprobe usbserial vendor=0x12d1 product=0x1003 or udev rules which block the "internal cdrom" of the modem and install the usbserial driver. After the last modprobe I got /dev/ttyUSB0 and /dev/ttyUSB1 and I can use kinternet or minicom to access this modem with AT commands. In 10.3 the modem is recognized without any commands but I can't send any AT commands to /dev/ttyUSB0 or /dev/ttyUSB1. minicom simply doesn't respond and I must kill it. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
