hello Michael,
i was living then in confusion, that for zypper vendor == repo ..
This is - more or less - true. Is's sort of repo familiy and `zypper up` will look for update candidates within the same family only: - Buildservice projects use the project name in their vendor string (e.g. obs://build.opensuse.org/network:utilities). So if you installed packages from network:utilities you'll get (auto)updates from network:utilities only. - Packman uses http://packman.links2linux.de - The openSUSE distribution (incl. factory) uses 'SUSE LINUX' or 'openSUSE' or something similar. This vendor is used for the distribution repos, as well as for the -update, -debuginfo, ... repos. Thus 'on 11.3 with added repo-oss from 11.4' packages from 11.4 are valid update candidates for packages from 11.3. If you don't want this, you should not add 11.4, or give it a low priority, so it won't be considered by default. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
