I try to reduce size with avidemux, but it converts to photo instead. I try to use ffmpeg directly, but program is missing from repo. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1132954 http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1132954#c6 --- Comment #6 from Alexander Shchadilov <alexander.shchadilov@gmail.com> --- Please pay a bit more attention to details when filing a bug report. It has "Firefox" in a "Component" field (you can choose "Other" if affected software is not listed). A report summary (title) and description should have had a mention of Thunderbird, preferably with a package version number presented in a description. Providing accurate and comprehensive information helps people who will try to confirm your findings. I was able to reproduce this with Leap 15.1, MozillaThunderbird 60.6.1-lp151.1.9, plasma5-desktop 5.12.8-lp151.1.3. Additional screencast is attached. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1132954 http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1132954#c7 --- Comment #7 from Carlos Robinson <carlos.e.r@opensuse.org> --- Sorry, I thought that "firefox" covered all mozilla products. At the time I reported on April I saw font problems on other apps, but the one on Thunderbird was more noticeable. I simply forgot to mention "thunderbird" in the text, I thought it was obvious on the video. It was on the mail to the support mail list. The versions affected were those at the time of report in the beta and release, thus several versions. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1132954 http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1132954#c8 --- Comment #8 from Alexander Shchadilov <alexander.shchadilov@gmail.com> --- I did not use Thunderbird before, so it caught me by surprise and I wrote a comment I admit was inappropriately preachy. Could you elaborate more on what software products were also affected? As far as I understand, you are not using openSUSE now, is that correct? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1132954 http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1132954#c9 --- Comment #9 from Carlos Robinson <carlos.e.r@opensuse.org> --- Oh, I use openSUSE Leap 15.0, just not 15.1 yet, and this bug is one of the reasons. I have been using *S[uU]SE since 1998 almost exclusively :-) I observed problems with fonts, but the one in Thunderbird was the most visible. On xfce4-terminal I observed what I think is called aliasing, but I'm not sure. My notes say "the '[' has a greenish tinct, and the ']' has a violet tinct". I tried both with nouveau driver and the proprietary driver. "YaST, letters do not look very nice. Seem wires, too thin." -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1132954 http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1132954#c10 --- Comment #10 from Alexander Shchadilov <alexander.shchadilov@gmail.com> --- I can reproduce font shrinking in Thunderbird with Leap 15.2, however I found a workaround for it. For some reason fonts do not fit in rows of lists (account folders, letters), so increasing row height via css file improves the situation. Thunderbird interface can be tweaked with a userChrome.css file that does not exist by default. It should be created in ~/.thunderbird/<your-thunderbird-profile>/chrome/ where <your-thunderbird-profile> is a folder with an alphanumeric name generated by Thunderbird. Code to put into userChrome.css: treechildren::-moz-tree-row { margin-top: 2px !important; margin-bottom: 2px !important; } treechildren::-moz-tree-row(selected) { margin-top: 0px !important; margin-bottom: 0px !important; } As for tincts, I believe that you noticed a sub-pixel anti-aliasing and it is completely irrelevant to this Thunderbird behaviour. You should be able to change font rendering to grayscale in XFCE settings (Appearance, Fonts, set Sub-pixel order to "None"). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
