http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1199313 Bug ID: 1199313 Summary: Bluetooth is not working in the Cinnamon environment after recent updates Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Patterns Assignee: dimstar@opensuse.org Reporter: nsleasy@hotmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- The Bluetooth stack is not working after recent updates and not installed with the latest snapshot of openSUSE Tumbleweed *Cinnamon*. The 'blueberry' package is used in the Cinnamon DE, but is not present in any of the standard Tumbleweed repositories. This was working back in December 2021. ** Workaround ** The workaround is to add the Leap 15.4 repository and install the 'blueberry' and dependencies from there, as follows: zypper addrepo http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/15.4/repo/oss/ Leap-15.4-OSS zypper ref zypper se -s blueberry Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... S | Name | Type | Version | Arch | Repository --+----------------+---------+-----------------+--------+-------------- | blueberry | package | 1.4.5-bp154.1.3 | noarch | Leap-15.4-OSS | blueberry-lang | package | 1.4.5-bp154.1.3 | noarch | Leap-15.4-OSS zypper in blueberry zypper lr zypper mr -d Leap-15.4-OSS reboot ** Recommendation ** I recommend that the 'blueberry' package be added to the standard Tumbleweed repositories, along with its dependencies. Although 'blueberry' version 1.4.5 seems to work perfectly fine, the most recent stable version is 1.4.7. This should be added to the Cinnamon pattern as well. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1199313 http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1199313#c1 --- Comment #1 from Nolan Leasy <nsleasy@hotmail.com> --- I understand from another RPM based distribution that 'blueberry' may be superceded by 'blueman', upstream. However, blueman does not work on my Thinkpad T450 laptop. For what it's worth, the most recent releases and updates of Cinnamon on LinuxMint 20.3 and LMDE5 use 'blueberry', not 'blueman' and the stack works fine on those platforms. Blueberry works fine on RPM based distributions as well, while Blueman does not. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
