There is no Configure Desktop > Mouse option in KDE4 to toggle this back on for users that prefer touchpad tap (Gnome does have this option). Installing 3rd party apps such as Synaptics to control this is not an acceptable workaround. I finally got used to it and started to like it even, and then it's gone. Give at least a good way to enable tapping.
