[Bug 301667] New: Installation from iso-image not possible
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=301667 Summary: Installation from iso-image not possible Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Beta 1 Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mbra@gmx.ch QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Up to Alpha7 I was able to install from the downloaded iso image: choose the partiton: /dev/sda1 then, the name of the file: /openSUSE-10.3-Alpha7-DVD-i386.iso (I extract "initrd" and "linux" from the image and copy it to my /boot partition) With Beta1, when I specify /openSUSE-10.3-Beta1-DVD-i386.iso, I get the following error message: error 37: Couldn't open file /mp_0000/openSUSE-10.3-Beta1-DVD-i386.iso no repository found The specified filename is correct. When I enter an inexisting filename, I only get the message: no repository found The iso image itself is not corrupt. When I first mount it loopback and copy the contents to the disk, then I can specify the path to this copy and the installation works -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
