When I click on any link labeled "PDF" on http://www.uni-math.gwdg.de/jahnel/linkstopapers.html the same window opens, but it says "Vom Typ: PDF-Dokument" ("Of type: PDF-Document"), and offers XPDF as an application to open the file. My guess (w/o having seen the logs yet) is that Firefox doesn't offer xpdf because the filename doesn't match the content-type in that case. The difference is basically the filename but that could be really a bug in firefox. I am not offered to open the file directly, so I have to save it to the disk and open it from there. This is not what I want. My Firefox 2.0.0.12 is configured to open PDF-Documents (.pdf, application/pdf) using Adobe Reader 8.0.
