[Bug 615625] New: System does not resume from suspend-to-disk
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=615625 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=615625#c0 Summary: System does not resume from suspend-to-disk Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Mobile Devices AssignedTo: mobile-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jimreynold2nd@yahoo.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=370237) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=370237) all boot messages User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.0) Gecko/20100115 SUSE/3.6.0-1.2 Firefox/3.6 Suspend to disk seemed to work, but upon restart, the computer boots normally and did not resume from disk. Doing splash=verbose when trying to resume revealed this error message: PM: Checking image partition /dev/sda12 PM: Resume from partition 8:12 PM: Checking hibernation image. Trying manual resume from /dev/sda12 Invoking userspace resume from /dev/sda12 /sbin/resume: error while loading shared libraries: libpcre.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory /sbin/resume: error while loading shared libraries: libpcre.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Trying manual resume from /dev/sda12 Invoking in-kernel resume from /dev/sda12 PM: Resume from disk failed. I checked and I have libpcre0 installed. Doing 'ldd /usr/sbin/resume' showed that libpcre0 is found. Funny thing is that 'resume' is in /usr/sbin/resume, while on the error message it was /sbin/resume. There is no /sbin/resume. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. KDE menu -> Leave -> Suspend to disk 2. Turn on the computer Actual Results: The computer boots normally without resuming from hibernation (and lose all works in progress) Expected Results: Computer resumes from suspend-to-disk. System was a Thinkpad T61, and Suspend-to-RAM works fine. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
