[Bug 267722] New: Suspend to Disk fails to resume with root on LVM/MD volume
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=267722 Summary: Suspend to Disk fails to resume with root on LVM/MD volume Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bernhard.bender@web.de QAContact: qa@suse.de This may or may not be the same as bug 245660: I have all volumes (/ /home /var ...) in an LVM residing in a raid1 md device. (Okay, it is a desktop/server, not a laptop, but i want to use s2disk in case of power failure when the UPS runs out). s2disk suspends and turns off the machine correctly. However, the resume fails after reading the image file. It then start a normal boot process, replaying lot of fs journal entries due to the incomplete shutdown. The only thing I found was a message indicating failure to freeze processes. Same thing from kpowersave and command line in init level 3. BTW, s2ram works like a charm on same machine.
