[Bug 395030] New: Deploying images could use less memory
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=395030 Summary: Deploying images could use less memory Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Alpha 0 Platform: Other OS/Version: Linux Status: ASSIGNED Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: locilka@novell.com ReportedBy: locilka@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- At first, user selects software to install. Then these selections are stored to memory, images deployed and selections are restored from memory. After that memory is not freed. It would make sense not to use memory for storing the selection during deploying images but use .target.string to store them on the target disk (some special directory as those images could rewrite it). Moreover, after the images are deployed, user-selection could be freed as there is no way to go back so the information is not useful anymore. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
