I am NOT a C programmer but I would suspect the manufacturer that is unable so far to succeed, is. In any event, 10.3 Beta broke a functioning driver and controller. and worse, due to the IDE/SATA bug, it damaged the 10.2 system that was not supposed to be part of the beta test. I spent many hours fixing that. The last kernel that would work with the patch was 2.6.22.25. Not only did the update to .29 break the driver, but it will not recompile using the exact same settings as previous. Additionally, this update literally destroyed my MD RAID installation preventing all recovery of logs. It has taken 3 days of reinstallation to get back online. In order to function, I have to regress the kernel to 2.6.22.25 and then everything compiles and works.
