There is no difference to use YaST2 or edit config file. Magic SysRq keys don't work (PS/2 keyboard). // By the way this bug prevents normal reboot or shutdown 'cause first tty is activated. --- When I've used openSUSE 11.1 (x86, seems not architecture specific) this bug was also present but worked once - only after changing - and then all was right. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Manually edit '/etc/sysconfig/console' config file or open YaST2 '/etc/sysconfig' editor (Hardware-Console) 2. Change CONSOLE_FONT to some non-16px font (i've tested 'ter-c14n.psfu' and Cyr_a8x14.psfu - first need to instal terminus-font package, second is standard) 3. YaST2 '/etc/sysconfig' editor automatically restarts kbd daemon - you may simply switch to tty1 (Ctrl-Alt-F1) and look at frozen system (/etc/sysconfig/console file may be lost after reset due to file system). If file was edited manually you may to reboot system and then switch to tty1 (in this case config wouldn't be lost). Actual Results: When console font height isn't 16 px system is frozen after switch to tty1 Expected Results: tty1 should work as other :) I've tested only 16 and 14 fonts... may be this bug specific only to 14 px with my screen resolution? Alt+F2/3/etc. don't work, AltGr+SysRq+[...] also helpless, NumLock (Caps/Scroll) has no reaction.
