[Bug 370612] New: kbluemon crashes if "discover remote services" is activated on an unpaired BT device
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=370612 Summary: kbluemon crashes if "discover remote services" is activated on an unpaired BT device Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: gerhard.stengel@o2online.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Customer Created an attachment (id=201504) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=201504) crashlog kbluemon If I activate "discover remote services" in kbluemon and perform a scan on a device which I haven't paired before with konqueror, kbluemon always crashes (see attached crash log). This is 100% repoducible with my two mobile phones Sony Ericsson W800i and K800i. After I have established a connection once with konqueror and added the phone resp. the computer to the trusted device list, the problem never occurs again. (In Yast2 i set the security manager setting for BT to "use local PIN for incoming connections".) I use kdebluetooth 1.0-beta8 that is shipped with opensuse 10.3, KDE is 3.5.9 on x86-64. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I'm still using the same version of kdebluetooth, but I'm always updating all KDE3 and qt3 packages as soons as they apprear in the build service repository. Maybe there was a change recently that solved this problem... regards Gerhard -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The problem occured once, but i can't reproduce it anymore. Maybe a bad race condition with some older kde3/qt3 packages. Just reopen the bug if the issue is reproduceable again.
