Is this 100% reproducable if you unplug the AC adapter? Hmm, if I understand this correctly and it is not, showing up 1 hour after you unplugged? Can you provide acpidump, pls. Best then check for a latest BIOS. If there is one, update (at least if the changelog points to ACPI/battery/EC issues) and again provide acpidump. Maybe this is even solved after a BIOS upgrade?
When I remove the event to shutdown on kpowersave if battery reaches 2% the laptop runs fine just battery status is like above.
Danny: If I interpret this right, the machine is shutdown by kpowersave which is kpowersave/hal bug. If hal/kpowersave is not able to read the battery anymore it may throw a warning to the user, ignore it, but it must not shutdown the machine because it thinks the battery is empty.
