[Bug 1038324] New: signal 11
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1038324 Bug ID: 1038324 Summary: signal 11 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation Assignee: yast2-maintainers@suse.de Reporter: jmader2@gmu.edu QA Contact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Similar to Bug ID 1023198 mem=1g doesn't allow the USB Leap 42.2 media to boot to rescue or abort installation. I can do an installation, but at the installation summary if I select Abort, signal 11. Boot to Rescue System, signal 11. And if I put a Chelsio T520-BT in place and try to boot to installation, signal 11. System is Dell T3610 with Intel E5-1620 v2. After installation with updates using built-in Ethernet, putting the Chelsio T520-BT in place does not cause any problem and the HBA interfaces p4p1 & p4p2 are available. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

But if I try to Abort at the installation summary, so I could get a command line and maybe get the y2logs, Abort also caused signal 11 (with and without mem=1g), so I'm unable to get the logs.
You don't need to abort to get the logs; simply hit Shift-F8, then use the root shell that is running on console 2 (Ctrl-Alt-F2, back with Ctrl-Alt-F7). https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:YaST_tricks -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
