[Bug 664009] New: x11-input-fujitsu cannot be loaded and conflicts with wacom configuration
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=664009 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=664009#c0 Summary: x11-input-fujitsu cannot be loaded and conflicts with wacom configuration Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: bnc-team-xorg-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: f.takeyama.g@gmail.com QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=408051) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=408051) xorg.conf User-Agent: Opera/9.80 (Windows NT 6.1; U; ja) Presto/2.7.62 Version/11.00 I have a laptop, Fujitsu LOOX P LP70. I installed the X11 input driver for Fujitsu laptops (x11-input-fujitsu) from the 11.3 OSS repository. However its touch screen did not work. I found two problems of x11-input-fujitsu. First, it seems that the driver is broken. After creating xorg.conf and adding some description to load the driver, I got the following message in a log. [ 4990.750] (EE) LoadModule: Module fujitsu does not have a fujitsuModuleData data object. The second problem comes from configuration file for Wacom tablets. I downloaded new driver (xf86-input-fujitouch-0.6.7.tar.bz2) from http://www.conan.de/touchscreen/p-series.html and built it. The source code and binaries are available from my OBS repository: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?package=x11-input-fujitsu&project=home%3Aftake Although this version of driver could be loaded, a mouse cursor move erroneously (very quickly). As far as I checked logs, /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-wacom.conf tried to set up ttyS4, which is conected to the touch screen, for a Wacom tablet after the fujitsu driver was loaded. Thus, removing 20-wacom.conf solved this problem. Is it possible to use the touch screen without xorg.conf and hacks above? I found that in the attached xorg.conf Driver "intellegacy" must be Driver "intel" while updating to xorg-x11-7.6.
Ok. What does happen otherwise? So you used "intellegacy" driver before successfully? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
