http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1188291 Bug ID: 1188291 Summary: Error logged by systemd update: systemd-udevd-control.socket: Socket service systemd-udevd.service already active, refusing. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 15.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE Leap 15.2 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem Assignee: screening-team-bugs@suse.de Reporter: archie.cobbs@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Often when I do an upgrade (via zypper up), and systemd gets updated, the following errors are logged to /var/log/warn: systemd[1]: systemd-udevd-control.socket: Socket service systemd-udevd.service already active, refusing. systemd[1]: Failed to listen on udev Control Socket. systemd[1]: systemd-udevd-kernel.socket: Socket service systemd-udevd.service already active, refusing. systemd[1]: Failed to listen on udev Kernel Socket. This doesn't seem to cause a problem, but it is an annoyance because these machines send monitoring alerts when any errors are logged. In in case, it's an error so it could also indicate a real problem and therefore should be investigated. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
