[Bug 1200293] wget: Segmentation fault
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1200293 https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1200293#c3 --- Comment #3 from Robin Roevens <robin.roevens@disroot.org> --- (In reply to Josef Mllers from comment #2)
Can you please update your system and try again? Maybe there was a short incompatibility between packages (shouldn't happen, but sh*t does). I did try to update before reporting here, but that didn't help. I now updated again, but again to no avail..
Also, verify the wget package: "rpm -Vv wget" (this also works as a non-privileged user) $ rpm -vV wget ......... c /etc/wgetrc ......... /usr/bin/wget ......... /usr/share/doc/packages/wget ......... d /usr/share/doc/packages/wget/AUTHORS ......... d /usr/share/doc/packages/wget/MAILING-LIST ......... d /usr/share/doc/packages/wget/NEWS ......... d /usr/share/doc/packages/wget/README ......... d /usr/share/doc/packages/wget/rmold.pl ......... d /usr/share/doc/packages/wget/sample.wgetrc ......... d /usr/share/info/wget.info.gz ......... /usr/share/licenses/wget ......... l /usr/share/licenses/wget/COPYING ......... d /usr/share/man/man1/wget.1.gz
As a last step, you could remove the package and re-install it: "rpm -e wget; zypper install wget" (this obviously only works for root). Already tried 'zypper install -f wget' before reporting, now tried effectively uninstalling and re-installing. But again, nothing changed to the behavior of wget. It keeps segfaulting.
If still crashes, please attach the supportconfig file. Enable core dumps then attach the core dump of wget. Will attach both shortly..
Groetjes! Ook de groetjes!
