[Bug 1042542] New: KDE NetworkManager client cannot set MTU for wired interface
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1042542 Bug ID: 1042542 Summary: KDE NetworkManager client cannot set MTU for wired interface Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: SUSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE Workspace (Plasma) Assignee: opensuse-kde-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: nwr10cst-oslnx@yahoo.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0 Build Identifier: This is with Tumbleweed 20170601. I tried to set the MTU to 1472 for ethernet (recommended for 6rd support for ipv6). When I clicked OK to save the changes, the applet closed. I was expecting a prompt for root password, but there was none. And the change to MTU was not saved (tested by rebooting). I believe this to be an issue with the KDE client. I logged out of KDE, and logged into Gnome. I was able to make the change there, with the expected behavior. This is probably an upstream issue. Reproducible: Always -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
