This is factually incorrect. Qt is not based on GTK... (optionally it can use glib for the event loop, though). All that changed upstream is that the platform plugin is now based on GTK 3. The reason why the platform plugin is part of libQt5Gui5 is not valid anymore (and IMO never was), so I propose splitting it again.
