Opening a duplicate is not a good idea, but splitting the report might be appropriate. 1) Is already fixed long ago by adding gimp-help to the default installation. 2) This is indeed ugly and seems to be caused by gimp-logo.png. It's OK in gimp-unstable. 3) Is already fixed, but did not make it into Beta1. Just wait for Beta2 or update gimp from the Factory tree. Just for testing, I replaced the too small gimp-logo.png with a copy of gimp-splash.png. It looks much better. So I guess we need a new and larger pixmap (or re-use gimp-splash.png as gimp-logo.png). As a side-note: Both gimp-help and gimp-unstable seem to be unbranded and contain the original pixmap that you are replacing for gimp. But you can test how it will look like by downloading the attachments and copying them into your system: attachment 105169 becomes /opt/gnome/share/gimp/2.0/images/gimp-logo.png attachment 105170 becomes /opt/gnome/share/gimp/2.0/images/gimp-splash.png Whether this is fixed 3 hours or 3 months after the report, or whether it is fixed 3 months or 3 weeks before the release does not matter because anything else than the final release is explicitly meant to be used exclusively by people who explicitly want to see unfinished software.
