Only when I exit skpe does it happen. Checking the Desktop Effects post-skype exit shows it is disabled (unchecked). Re-enabling the desktop effects, re-logging in or restarting the laptop enables Desktop Effects again. PS: I've since moved back to OpenSUSE 11.0. Just too much hassle trying to get iFolder to work in 11.1 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The issue is still there: quitting Skype will disable Desktop Effects. In addition, I've found the same issue when quitting VLC (v0.9.8a-15.3 (x86_64) from the VideoLan repository). regards kumfei :-) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

It also happens to be an IBM T61 with 11.1 and all updates. Freshly installed this week with the latest version of SKYPE 2.0. SO far it is the only application that unconfigures the Desktop Effects in GNOME. I have exactly the same issue. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
