https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=649172 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=649172#c0 Summary: openOffice.org applications crash on start Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: OpenOffice.org AssignedTo: bnc-team-ooo@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: toddrme2178@gmail.com QAContact: cwei@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.11) Gecko/20101013 SUSE/3.6.11-33.1 Firefox/3.6.11 All of my openOffice.org programs crash immediately after they start. The splash screen loads, then the window appears for a fraction of a second, then it vanishes. I cannot use any part of openOffice at all. It tried uninstalling the openoffice KDE4 integration packages, which didn't work, then I installed the gnome integration packages, but that also didn't work. I tried deleting my .ooo3 directory, as well as every config file I didn't absolutely need. I also deleted my cache directories. I reinstalled all my x11-related programs and my graphics driver (Nvidia binary). None of these steps works. Reproducible: Always Here is the console output: user:~> oowriter OpenOffice.org(9971)/kdeui (KIconLoader): Opening cache "/var/tmp/kdecache-user/icon-cache.kcache" page size is 4096 OpenOffice.org(9971)/kdeui (KIconLoader): Attached to cache, determining if it must be initialized OpenOffice.org(9971)/kdeui (KIconLoader): Cache fully initialized -- attached to memory mapping OpenOffice.org(9971)/kdeui (KIconLoader): 3964928 bytes available out of 10485760 X-Error: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter) Major opcode: 62 (X_CopyArea) Resource ID: 0x0 Serial No: 609 (609) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

It seems building openoffice_org-kde4 against KDE:Distro:Factory did not solve the problem.
i just installed openoffice_org-kde4, and it still works: no crash on "view data sources". i have to run "export OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP=none", of course. openoffice_org-kde4 doesn't seem to be the problem. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
