http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1201054 Bug ID: 1201054 Summary: [Build 20220629] yast2_firewall: selecting Zone for interface fials Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other URL: https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/2442251/modules/yast 2_firewall/steps/53 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 Assignee: yast2-maintainers@suse.de Reporter: dimstar@opensuse.org QA Contact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: openQA Blocker: Yes ## Observation The test opens the zone selector, types 'pivlic\n' at which point we seem to go out of sync openQA test in scenario opensuse-Tumbleweed-DVD-x86_64-yast2_gui@64bit fails in [yast2_firewall](https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/2442251/modules/yast2_firewall/steps/53) ## Test suite description Maintainer: qsf-y Test for yast2 UI, GUI only. Running on created gnome images which provides both text console for ncurses UI tests as well as the gnome environment for the GUI tests. Temporarily added YAST2_GUI_TERMINATE_PREVIOUS_INSTANCES to see if helps. This variable triggers code which terminates all yast2 processes before starting new one. (see poo#26104). ## Reproducible Fails since (at least) Build [20220629](https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/2441849) ## Expected result Last good: [20220628](https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/2439955) (or more recent) ## Further details Always latest result in this scenario: [latest](https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/latest?arch=x86_64&distri=opensuse&flavor=DVD&machine=64bit&test=yast2_gui&version=Tumbleweed) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1201054 http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1201054#c4 --- Comment #4 from Dominique Leuenberger <dimstar@opensuse.org> --- I tried to get a bit more info as to what is going on here. So, the test does (a bit shortened, to relevance): * Launch yast2 firewall * 'Click' on 'Interfaces' in the left menu * press ALT-C (Change Zone) * press ALT-Z (Zone selector) * Type 'public\n' In the past, this has resulted in 'Ok' being confirmed (the trailing \n in public'n) - now, 'public' picks the right zone, but \n 'opens the drop down list' It's debatable at this point if yast behaves wrong or if the test has wrong assumptions. Please advise. If the test needs to be adjusted, I'll file a different ticket in progress.o.o. what is not clear though is why this started in snapshot 0629 - the most probable change is a Qt version bump; yast2 (4.5.5 -> 4.5.6), when looking at the changelog, seems not relevant. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
