I commented out the following lines from boot.clock: # if /sbin/modprobe -q rtc_cmos ; then # test -e $uevseqnum && read -t 1 end < $uevseqnum # if test $start -lt $end ; then # /sbin/udevadm settle --quiet --seq-start=$start --seq-end=$end # else # /sbin/udevadm settle --quiet # fi # else # rm -f $rule # ${1+"$@"} # fi I dared because the "else" branch seems to imply that the system could run without the module. I have been using the system for some days now and there are no adverse effects showing. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I upgraded to version 11.3 last week, which has no problems like this. I cannot help you any further at this moment. I did not think of the outstanding bug when deciding to upgrade.
