[Bug 969918] New: Multiple terminal apps corrupts screen rendering in Gnome
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=969918 Bug ID: 969918 Summary: Multiple terminal apps corrupts screen rendering in Gnome Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: 2015* Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: clauses@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 668044 --> http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/attachment.cgi?id=668044&action=edit Screenshot 1 In Gnome running more than one terminal window (Gnome Terminal or XTerm) will corrupt the rendering (please see attached). This is both when opening two (or more) terminal windows, or when opening one terminal window and another app window. Curiously, if two terminal windows are aligned precisely next to each other then this issue does not appear (that is until a window from a non-terminal app is opened). This issue appears only in Gnome under Xorg, not under Wayland. This issue appears only in OpenSUSE Tumbleweed, not in eg. Fedora 23. I run both Tumbleweed and Fedora under VMware Fusion. Turning off ‘3D Acceleration’ in VMware Fusion cause the corruption to not appear in Tumbleweed. Both Tumbleweed and Fedora run Gnome 3.18.2 and have `open-vm-tools` 10.0.0 installed. (I’ve tried to install 10.0.5, but that has the same problem). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
