Opensuse Installation. 1. Panel Options apart from size and position have been removed. 2. Application Icons cannot be dragged to the task bar as they are no longer object orientated. 3. The is no ability to assign different desktops with different wallpaper. 4. Privacy cleanup is missing 5. The theme manager has been removed and functions to download preconfigured themes from KDE have been removed. I am sorry to groups all these issues together - I cannot find a better way - Logging bugs in KDE is not an option as our product is opensuse - happy to discuss other private matters which enforces this comment The interface is beautiful, however falls down in functional loss -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I reviewed kcontrol's Panel module. Everything apart from Panel Hiding Buttons and Button Backgrounds is IMHO now present in the Plasma panel. If I am mistaken please give specific missing features. 2. "Application Icons cannot be dragged to the task bar". I don't understand this. Do you mean cannot be dragged to the panel? Where are you dragging them from? 3. Known upstream: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155150 - IIRC there is even a hidden config for this in KDE 4.2 but the UI was not ready, should be done for 4.3 4. Was it present in KDE 3? 5. Invalid - Plasma has its own theme manager, and does not place this in Pseronal Settings by design. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

You can download new wallpaper as in 10.3 but cannot assign a different wallpaper screen to each desktop. The download preview name is not maintained. Example I preview in New Wallpaper NightFear4 file and when I go to put the wallpaper as default the fill name is 25331-night4. 3. I cannot drag and drop any icon on the unlocked desktop to the default panel at the base of the screen nor any other panel. It does not matter if I try to move an icon from either the desktop itself, the application launcher nor the default Desktop folder - The icons are not treated as objects and neither are the panels. 4. I cannot create 2 Panels at top right left bottom. As such I cannot have 2 panels at the bottom of screen - one which may hold all task managers minimized and the other the standard default panel. 5. I cannot control the transparency of the panel nor define what nature of panel it is - Task Manager, Application Icon Launcher and so on. 6. The transparent tools on the default desktop folder offer no hover help, but I can understand that the screwdriver is a toolbox for the desktop folder the others are a refresh and the third I do not know what it does. 7. Add New Widgets - as well as providing the very small type to choose from, why cannot we have access to all the items within the Application Launcher. The only way to add most functional functional applications is to drag the item from the application launcher to the unlocked desktop. Yes all these features we present and fully functional in 10.3 - Despite the great new looking plasma desktop it cannot maintain functions that were available in 10.3. The desktop look great, but functionally and ease of use is very poor IMO! It would be very nice to have back all the above functions that worked like a dream in 10.3 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
