[Bug 1046213] New: GDM not displaying user accounts until restart
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1046213 Bug ID: 1046213 Summary: GDM not displaying user accounts until restart Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME Assignee: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: sb56637@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 730424 --> http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/attachment.cgi?id=730424&action=edit doesn't find "linux" user account on system Hi there, With GDM 3.24 on the latest Tumbleweed, it no longer displays user accounts until after restarting the GDM service. On the first boot, it just displays "Not listed?" and allows me to manually type in the username. Later after logging in, if I kill the X server (and the GDM service with it) it will reload GDM and this time it allows me to select the user. The user account is named "linux", with a UID of 2000. I am using an /etc/gdm/custom.conf file to disable Wayland for GDM not sure if that makes any difference or not (as my test VM won't load GDM at all without the custom.conf file that disables Wayland). I'm attaching a screenshot. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
