But there's another issue with non-existent capabilities: if zypper is told to install multiple capabilties and just one of them does not exist, it just quits because of the above problem. AFAICS zypper has 1) no (sane) way to check if the capability even exists in the pool *prior to solving*. 2) Nor it has a way to ignore such problem, or 3) even detect it properly (to tell "There are no installable providers" apart form other problems and act upon it). But zypper must have a proper way to find out what's the particular solver problem about. Parsing error messages is not a good idea. Associating some objects to check with the solver problem would do good i think... Just a reminder: we are talking about zypper.
