This bug does not happen in X11, only in wayland. This bug can easily be reproduced in VM or physically machine: 1. Default install with GNOME 3.34. 2. Login with wayland. 3. Open a pdf file with evince. 4. Press F5 to enter presentation mode. 5. This bug doesn't happen since TW build 20200118.
I just reproduced this bug on a fresh installed newest tumbleweed with mutter 3.34.4, so I think it was not fixed.
