[Bug 871115] New: No action/sound on battery low/critical level
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=871115 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=871115#c0 Summary: No action/sound on battery low/critical level Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 13.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 13.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: andrewammerlaan@live.nl QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.0 I 3 laptops with opensuse: 1. Toshiba Satelite opensuse 13.1 KDE up to date 2. Acer Travelmate opensuse 13.1 KDE Default repositories up to date 3. Asus VivioBook opensuse 13.1 KDE Default repositories fresh install, up to date All of these have the same problem when the battery runs low, a sound and a pop up message should be shown when the battery level reaches 20%, and they should hibernate at 10%. however none of the above happen instead opensuse keeps running until the battery is depleted and the laptop turns off. After a suspend and wake-up the battery notifications return, therefore I am guessing something goes wrong at boot. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Boot opensuse on a laptop 2.Wait till the battery reaches the set battery low level 3.No pop-up or sound will be played. Actual Results: No sound/pop-up message, and battery depletes and laptop turns off. Expected Results: When battery level is 20% a sound and pop-up message When battery level is 10% hibernate I haven't tested if this bug also appears on GNOME/LXDE/XFCE -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
