On first boot Gnome3 was started instead of XFCE. On second boot XFCE was started, as expected. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install factory with XFCE 2. leave autologin enabled 3. Did you preserve your home directory during installation, ie. could there have been a preexisting .dmrc? As a consequence the lightdm is not being installed and installer component falls back to GNOME when setting the display manager and default session. GDM was not installed, and lightdm was. There is one little problem left: I don't recall disabling autologin, but I'm not logged in automatically.
