I have three hard disks: 1 SATA and 2 PATA connected to it821 controller. With previous openSuSE releases (11.0, 11.1 and 11.2) I could install openSuSE on my PATA disk using this option at grub prompt: "brokenmodules=pata_it821x". Now this option disables it821 controller and openSuSE 11.3 only identifies SATA hard disk with Windows XP. If I don't use this option, the system identifies my it821 controller with 2 PATA hard disks, but the installation process fails. My PATA hard disk is correctly partitioned, but after a few minutes GNOME installation aborts. What can I do to install openSUSE 11.3 on my PATA hard disk? I've tried to upgrade to 11.3 from a clean openSuSE 11.2 installation, but after reboot grub doesn't detect and mount PATA partitions. Thanks for your help! How can I enable this module to create a specific kernel version for my system? Am I only one with this controller? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
