[Bug 1018653] New: Move to trash on external drive moves file to trash in home folder
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1018653 Bug ID: 1018653 Summary: Move to trash on external drive moves file to trash in home folder Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE Workspace (Plasma) Assignee: opensuse-kde-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: katonag@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Move to trash operation on external USB drives mounted in KDE results in moving the deleted file to the home folder trash, which in case of big files takes long time, but this is not the expected behavior at all. System: Tumbleweed, Plasma 5.8.5, Frameworks 5.29.0 Steps to reproduce: 1. Plug in a USB drive and mount it with KDE device notification 2. delete a file with move to trash operation Result: The file will be moved to the trash folder in the home of the user Expected: a .Trash-uid folder should be created on the drive itself and the deleted file should be stored there Workaround: mounting the drive manually with umask=077 option results in the expected operation, however this is quite cumbersome as currently I see no possibility to set this option as default and mounting manually is not a real solution for everyday usage. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
