[Bug 952983] ifup managed network overwrites sysctl values
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=952983 http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=952983#c2 Marius Tomaschewski <mt@suse.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |INVALID --- Comment #2 from Marius Tomaschewski <mt@suse.com> --- *.autoconf = 1 is a default in the kernel. lo.autoconf = 1 is ignored/never used in the kernel. setting default.autoconf=0 is used for new devices, not for existing. setting all.autoconf=0 does not change per interface setting. This is kernel behavior "as designed" and thus invalid, the ifup scripts do not set it at all, except there is an ifsysctl file applying the settings on each ifup (ifcfg files do not contain any ipv6 autoconf related settings -> man 5 ifsysctl). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
