You may need to drop to the text interface by hitting escape. Then you can edit the command line using 'e', edit it, then hit enter, then hit b to boot it. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Hanssen <terje@nordland-teknikk.no> 2010-04-22 22:12:08 UTC --- Removing 'quiet' from Desktop kernel... didn't help. (It is easy to edit 11.3 menu.lst directly by booting 11.2 from multiboot setup on the same machine). Neither 11.3 Safe mode default without 'quiet' didn't boot. Now my menu.lst contains the following 11.3 sections: ###Don't change this comment - YaST2 identifier: Original name: linux### title Desktop -- openSUSE 11.3 Milestone 5 - 2.6.34-rc3-3 root (hd0,10) kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.34-rc3-3-desktop root=/dev/disk/by-id/ata-Hitachi_HTS722020K9SA00_080201DP0410DTGB5EZP-part11 resume=/dev/disk/by-id/ata-Hitachi_HTS722020K9SA00_080201DP0410DTGB5EZP-part5 splash=silent showopts crashkernel=256M-:128M vga=0x31a initrd /boot/initrd-2.6.34-rc3-3-desktop ###Don't change this comment - YaST2 identifier: Original name: failsafe### title Failsafe -- openSUSE 11.3 Milestone 5 - 2.6.34-rc3-3 root (hd0,10) kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.34-rc3-3-desktop root=/dev/disk/by-id/ata-Hitachi_HTS722020K9SA00_080201DP0410DTGB5EZP-part11 showopts apm=off noresume edd=off powersaved=off nohz=off highres=off processor.max_cstate=1 nomodeset x11failsafe vga=0x31a initrd /boot/initrd-2.6.34-rc3-3-desktop ###Don't change this comment - YaST2 identifier: Original name: linux### title GNU GRUB 2 -- openSUSE 11.3 - GNU GRUB 2 kernel (hd0,10)/boot/grub2/core.img root=/dev/sda11 resume=/dev/disk/by-id/ata-Hitachi_HTS722020K9SA00_080201DP0410DTGB5EZP-part5 splash=silent showopts vga=0x31a -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
